JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for making sure patrons are not acting aggressively or destructively, and to protect staff, property and equipment from damage.  The ideal candidate must be able to determine what to do quickly before a situation gets out of control and use his/her problem-solving skills to resolve all issues.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain orderliness and etiquette in all applicable vicinities.
  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
  • Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
  • Face difficult situations, including physical and verbal altercations, shootings and theft.
  • Escort unruly patrons outside of establishment when needed.
  • Use problem-solving skills to handle disagreements and/or to resolve any problematic issues.
  • Determined when situations warranted police intervention and cooperated with officers upon their arrival.
  • Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Complete an incident report for any verbal or physical altercations, entry or attempted entry of terminated staff or unwelcome guests, accidents/injuries, or other.
  • Respond and provide assistance to all “Code Red” (Officer needing assistance) radio transmissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience as a Bouncer or similar.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Formal civilian-related security training is preferred.
  • Refined crowd management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Unrivaled observational and conflict management skills.
  • Capacity to be stern, as required.
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Physically agile with impeccable reflexes.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Possess great physical stamina.

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk around the property. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
