Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Role Overview: As the Director, US Forecasting, you will act as a thought partner and in-house consultant leading forecasting initiatives to support key decision-making processes across various markets. The role involves working cross functionally to assess the evolving NASH landscape, collect and distill relevant insights, and deploy prevalence / incidence-based forecasting techniques to drive business growth and enhance market positioning.
This individual will manage a team of consultants and report into the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and lead product-specific patient flow forecasts and provide critical insights into market risks & opportunities that may impact performance to ultimately help guide commercial strategy and decision-making Lead the annual long-range planning process for demand and revenue forecasting across all markets Extract insights from diverse sources and provide strategic guidance to brand teams, leading to actionable business decisions. Influence commercial, R&D, and total company decisions with analysis and forecasts Develop methodical and accurate analytical tools, forecast models, and overall process plan to support leadership in creating alignment across stakeholders and commercial organizations at the country level. Provide expertise in forecasting for new product commercialization and in-line opportunities Provide analytical support and identify, in collaboration with key stakeholders, business issues and growth opportunities ahead of routine performance reviews (Board Meetings, Quarterly Performance, Forecast Reviews). Ensure cross functional alignment and data integrity across all stakeholders and identify possible solutions /areas of improvements for countries in data reporting and quality Provide commercial insights to finance and supply chain to support planning Cultivate relationships with external vendors specializing in market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics. Engage with a wide array of internal stakeholders including marking, finance, medical, supply chain, etc. Establish and sustain strong business relationships across key Commercial organization segments, demonstrating a deep understanding of internal customers' business needs. Oversee external consulting resources to ensure successful project delivery. Foster meaningful internal and external partnerships that provide valuable insights and identify critical unmet needs for the organization. Potential for role to expand into Global scope. Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience required, or 6-8 years with an advanced degree (MSc, MBA, Ph.D.) At least 8 years of marketing and/or finance experience with a focus on commercial forecasting, analytics, or management consulting required; experience strongly preferred Proficient consulting skills needed, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and impactful oral and written presentation Immunology, Cardiovascular or Metabolic Disease area experience is preferred Demonstrate a performance mindset with strong personal accountability and ability to collaborate across geographic and functional boundaries Self-starter with excellent abilities in analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting business and scientific content. Excellent communication and analytical skills, well-versed in industry secondary data sources and search techniques Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with tight timelines Proven support for senior leadership in financial forecasting and analytics Demonstrated experience in vendor management Strong proficiency in relevant software systems, including MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau is required Compensation: Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.
