This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division.

What You’ll Work On

This role focuses primarily on process of project development and implementations.

Support the development of capital program scope by working with commercial, research and development, quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Responsible for developing several scope options to evaluate and choose the best business case for the organization by working with multiple area finance teams.

Utilize engineering knowledge to support equipment design by properly preparing requests for proposal documentation, updating equipment specifications, and having detailed equipment design conversations with equipment suppliers.

Ability to manage several projects at the same time with multiple timelines and maintain adherence to internal process timelines.

Provide electrical, controls system, software, and instrument support to all aspects of the operation.

Perform small projects and troubleshoot line control issues on shift with the maintenance team.

Experience in programming PLC Logic, HMI, VFD and Industrial Networks (Allen Bradley).

Experience in DeltaV process control, Fieldbus and Hart Communicator is a plus.

Experience in Vision/Inspection Systems such as Keyence, Cognex and Mettler Toledo Checkweigher.

Maintenance of process control systems within the designated area

Required Qualifications​

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

5+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.

Approximately 2 years' experience in engineering/controls role or internship or advanced education to achieve level of skill.

Mechanical, chemical, and industrial engineering experience. Process piping and wastewater experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Science, Controls Engineering or Electrical Engineering degrees preferred

PMP Certification

Electrical Power Distribution

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
