**Job Title**: Licensed Master Electrician
**Location**: Brandon, MS (Locals Only)
**Pay Rate**: DOE (Depends on Experience)
**Job Description**:
United Trades of America is seeking a skilled and licensed Master Electrician to oversee commercial electrical projects in the Brandon, MS area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings. This includes overseeing electrical wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components, while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and codes. The Master Electrician will manage a team of electricians, conduct inspections, and ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, install, and maintain commercial electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices.
- Conduct inspections and provide guidance on system upgrades or improvements.
- Maintain accurate records, including material usage, labor hours, and project progress.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless workflow and clear communication.
**Requirements**:
- Valid Mississippi Master Electrician license
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high and low voltage
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Strong understanding of local and national electrical codes and regulations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
**Physical Requirements**:
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
