Details Client Name OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Job Type Travel Offering Nursing Profession RN Specialty MS Job ID 29212020 Job Title RN - Short Stay - SFMC Weekly Pay $2488.0 Shift Details Shift Night - 12x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours 36 Job Order Details Start Date 11/18/2024 End Date 02/17/2025 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Short Stay Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in General Medicine or more acute settings License: Current IL RN license Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Adaptability - Teamwork-oriented attitude - Positive clinical approach Job Description: - Provide patient care including vitals, assessment, and medication administration. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and needs. - Utilize equipment such as Epic Charting System and Pyxis Medication Cabinets. - Help cover any adult overflow on General Medicine Floors. - Work is based in a 13-bed Observation Unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by a Charge Nurse. - Adhere to the dress code: any color scrubs without childish cartoon characters and no microfleece material. - Participate in a day of Epic Inpatient Nurse training, followed by two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor familiar with the unit. - Engage with a variety of diagnoses including minor traumas, pre-op surgeries, and GI/GU issues. - Manage rapid patient turnover with an average 1.5 times bed turnover in a 24-hour period. Please note guaranteed hours will not apply during the orientation period, which includes 12 nonbillable orientation hours.
