Job Summary
Novant Health Cancer Insitute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) interested in joining our Inpatient Malignant Hematology team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic malignancies, including patients that are undergoing Transplantation and Cellular Therapy treatment. The team member will need to collaborate closely with additional Malignant hematology providers/APPs and other multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and discharge planning. Additional responsibilities will include daily rounding with attending and multidisciplinary team, patient assessment, diagnosing, identifying changes to current medical issues, managing side effects of treatment, advocating for your patients, preforming bone marrow biopsies and aspirates.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate Degree, required. Masters Degree or post masters degree in an accredited program; national certification, required.

Experience:
One year or greater of experience working in an oncology setting and/or inpatient hospital setting, preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current NP/PA license in appropriate state, required.
+
Additional Skills Required:
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
+ Hours: 7am-3pm, with call requirements
