Provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.

Qualifications

+

Education: Graduate of Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; M.S.in Nursing or Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Program; Masters of Medical Science, required.

Experience: Minimum of two yrs in high risk neonatal care exp, required.

+

Licensure/Certification: RN license currently licensed in NC, approved to practice as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in NC By Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners; Certified by NCC;OR currently licensed by NC Board of Medical Examiners as a Physician Assistant; Certified by NCCPA, required.

Additional Skills (required): Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Additional Skills (preferred): Physical requirements: Stand and move around majority of the day; climb (to reach patient care equipment); lift patients and equipment; push/pull wheelchairs, carts and beds; sit occasionally; bend and stoop; manual dexterity; run; negotiate stairs; see, hear, speak, smell, and touch.
