Canpotex is hiring a Director, Strategy (24-42) to join our Strategy team. This position is permanent and will be based in our Saskatoon office.

Headquartered in Saskatoon with three international offices, we are one of the world's largest suppliers of potash overseas. On behalf of our Shareholders, Mosaic and Nutrien, we market and deliver Saskatchewan potash, a valuable fertilizer nutrient, to millions of fields and farmers globally - ultimately helping the world grow more food.

The opportunity:
- Lead the strategy team in developing robust strategies aligned with Canpotex's primary objectives. This includes leading the strategic planning process, by collecting internal and external data, performing strategic analyses, conducting pre-project planning, and identifying opportunities and implementation plans.
- Formulate long-term strategic plans and analyses, providing recommendations on emerging trends, competitive dynamics, market fundamentals, and business performance enhancement.
- Evaluate and monitor market conditions, perform competitive analyses, and suggest adjustments to business strategies.
- Manage complex matters and maintain current insight into strategic issues at the forefront of the executive leadership agenda.
- Perform industry research and analysis, monitor industry trends, and interpret implications.
- Prepare, analyze, and present robust model forecast work, including supply-demand fundamentals, industry cost curves, price forecasts, and other analyses to support our multi-year strategic plan.
- Contribute to and guide strategic plans, including measuring strategic and corporate objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within the company to collect, analyze, and translate market, operational, and financial information into tangible strategies, reports, and measurements.
- Work closely with the Analyst, Strategy on all spreadsheet models, analysis, and communication of results.
- Draft clear, easy-to-understand, unambiguous, and engaging reports, presentations, and analyses for the leadership team, executives, and the Board.
You have:
- 10+ years of progressive corporate experience across marketing, analysis, finance, and/or strategy disciplines.
- Minimum five years' experience in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and business leaders through complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics is required, Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Significant understanding of market analysis, supply and demand fundamentals, and financial modeling, with the capability to develop and guide multi-year strategic plans and corporate objectives.
You bring:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with a collaborative mindset and a demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence outcomes effectively.
- Strong analytical aptitude with the capacity to quickly grasp and assimilate information across multiple business domains, facilitating swift fact-based decision-making.
- Expert level financial analysis capabilities, proficient in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, with the capacity to convert data into actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within stringent deadlines.
