We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled individual for the role of a Permanent Assistant Controller in the Accounting and Finance industry. This role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and assisting with strategic financial planning. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 2. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary. 3. Overseeing the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. 4. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances. 5. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. 6. Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines. 7. Implementing and maintaining reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements. 8. Working closely with the Controller to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department. 9. Utilizing Sage Intacct software for various accounting and financial tasks. 10. Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. A Masters degree or CPA certification will be highly advantageous. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry. 3. Proficiency in accounting software, with specific experience in Sage Intacct. 4. Strong understanding of treasury management, financial reporting, monthly reporting, healthcare accounting, fixed assets, and consolidations. 5. Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and guide a team. 6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to effectively communicate complex financial data and information to non-financial colleagues. 7. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with a detail-oriented mindset. 8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 10. Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting principles.
