Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Conducts examinations of new patients, writes treatment plans, performs and interprets diagnostic tests and conducts outpatient procedures. Assists in conducting hospital rounds, tasks, and other procedures.
Responsibilities : Demonstrates knowledge of the Privacy and Security rules outlined in the HIPPA guidelines Successfully completes the mandatory three days of H+H orientation Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures Intake patient's medical history Diagnose and treat illnesses Orders and interprets tests Counsels on preventative healthcare
Minimum Qualifications 1. Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; and, 2. Current certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); and, 3. Two years of full time, satisfactory clinical experiences as a Physician Assistant.
