Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Assists the Robotic Surgery Attending. Conducts examinations of new patients, writes treatment plans, performs and interprets diagnostic tests and conducts outpatient procedures. Will also assists in conducting hospital rounds tasks and other procedures including performance improvement projects, research, and educational activities. Will also assist in the Operating Room with all Robotic Surgery cases.
Responsibilities: Demonstrates knowledge of the Privacy and Security rules outlined in the HIPAA guidelines Successfully completes the mandatory three days of H+H orientation Adheres and confirms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures Intake patient's medical history Assists in Robotic surgery Writes prescriptions, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests Provides direct outpatient and inpatient care under Attending supervision
Minimum Qualifications 1. Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; and, 2. Current certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); and, 3. Two years of full time, satisfactory clinical experiences as a Physician Assistant.
