Brief Unit Description: 41 bed Medical Telemetry Unit – fast paced. Salem Hospital is a 400 bed facility that has 220 Med Surg beds plus the ICU, Maternity, etc. Years of Experience Required: 2 years minimum. Floating Required: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed. Rotating Shifts Required: Yes for Days (rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p & 7p-7a). Night positions are straight nights. Skill Sets Required: Cardiac Telemetry Cardiac drips, Interpret Tele Strips, TR Bands, Hi-Flow Oxygen. Clinician to Patient Ratio: Days: 1 to 4/5. Eves & Nights: 1 to 5/6. Patient Population: Cardiac, Respiratory, Metabolic, Psych, Substance Use Disorder, GU, GI. Bed Count: 41. Census: 41. EMR (Charting System): EPIC. Job Requirements Active MA RN License BLS Schedule Information 36 hours per week Straight nights Unit Specific Information 41 bed Medical Telemetry Unit Additional Details A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series that is approved by the FDA or the World Health Organization (WHO) OR an up-to-date COVID vaccine if a primary series was never received or completed is required. No exemptions or waivers (religious/medical) will be considered. Documentation of two measles vaccines, two mumps vaccine, and one rubella (German measles) vaccines or two MMR vaccines. OR Proof of immunity via blood test (will show antibodies if immune to measles, mumps, and rubella) Vaccine requirement if titer result is not immune or low immunity. Vaccine required during flu season Sept 15th - April 30th. Document must be uploaded as PDF. No exemptions or waivers (religious/medical) will be considered. Must have documentation of TB skin test screening within 3 months of start date and updated if >6 month break. OR Documentation of a negative QuantiFERON TB Test or T-spot (blood test for TB) within 3 months of start date and updated if >6 month break. Physician Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA. Within 365 days of start date and updated if >6 month break. Upload attestation with date run, indicating date completed and findings. Run within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break. If positive on a TB skin test or TB Titer, documentation of a chest x-ray (dated after the positive TB Test) which indicates there is no active tuberculosis is required.
