Assistant Superintendent

to join their team, specializing in multifamily residential construction projects. This role involves supporting the Superintendent in managing on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Description

Construction Oversight: Assist in managing daily on-site construction activities for multifamily projects. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams to ensure timely project execution. Monitor site safety practices and enforce OSHA compliance and company safety policies.

Schedule Management: Work with the Superintendent to maintain and update project schedules. Track progress and ensure adherence to construction timelines.

Client Coordination and Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients on-site, addressing questions and concerns promptly. Ensure client expectations are understood and incorporated into project execution. Provide regular updates to clients regarding project milestones, timelines, and potential changes.

Quality Assurance: Conduct routine inspections to ensure work aligns with project specifications, drawings, and standards. Address quality issues promptly and coordinate with project management to resolve discrepancies.

Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining detailed daily logs, reports, and records of construction activities. Communicate effectively with the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding site progress, issues, and updates.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Attend client and project team meetings to represent the company's interests professionally.

Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and address potential issues to prevent project delays. Support in resolving field conflicts and technical challenges.

Profile

Experience: 2+ years of construction experience, preferably in multifamily residential projects. Familiarity with wood-frame, concrete, and steel structures is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and MS Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.

Soft Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach. Leadership potential and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 30-hour certification. First Aid/CPR training. Additional safety and construction certifications are a plus.
