Our client is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent with a Department of Buildings (DOB) certification to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing multifamily residential construction projects in New York City. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing all aspects of on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Description
Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to completion, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to maintain efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures to keep construction schedules on track.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, safety standards, and adherence to project plans and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies, to address concerns and resolve issues promptly.
Manage material procurement, delivery schedules, and inventory to support construction activities and minimize project delays.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Profile
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record of managing multifamily residential projects in New York City.
DOB certification required.
Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate project teams.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with construction management software and tools, such as Procore or PlanGrid.
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
