Surgical Technologist - Operating Room

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic operating room team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with surgeries, ensuring the sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team during procedures. Experience in specialized surgeries such as vascular, thoracic, or neuro surgery is preferred. This role requires a commitment to quality patient care, teamwork, and maintaining high standards in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are set up and sterilized. Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments, tools, and supplies. Stock and manage supplies needed for surgeries to ensure efficiency. Prepare patients for surgery by properly washing and disinfecting incision sites. Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and assisting the surgical team as needed. Track surgical supplies and ensure their proper use during procedures. Stay updated on the latest surgical technology, techniques, medical terminology, and procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and other members of the surgical team. Contribute to delivering excellent patient care throughout the surgical process.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience. Experience in at least one of the following areas: Open vascular/endovascular surgery Thoracic surgery (including thoracic robotics) General surgery Transplant, trauma, or neuro surgeries Active NBSTSA or NCCT Certification. Current BLS (AHA only) certification. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Two professional references, preferably from a supervisor/manager.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced surgical environment. Advanced knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures specific to specialized surgeries (e.g., thoracic or neuro).
Certifications: NBSTSA or NCCT Certification (required). BLS (AHA only) certification (required). COVID-19 vaccination documentation (required)
