Job Description:
Position is for a Systems Administrator to support NSWC Philadelphia and Surface Ship modernization programs. The candidate shall support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. Duties will involve the installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, interface and updates, and local system design documentation. This administrator will maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. The position will require working with customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications. As required by the government, the candidate will maintain Cybersecurity Work Force qualification.
• Manage and maintain servers • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 • Experience supporting Red Hat Linux 7/8/9 • Experience supporting cloud services AWS/Azure • Active directory management, NTFS security and disk space management • Provide support to developers via telephone and on-line support using MS Teams and other remote software • Active directory management • Understanding group policies and group policy implementations • Install, configure and troubleshoot server and client software • Backup management, reporting and recovery • Maintenance of MS Windows Server Operating and Linux Environments • Configure and troubleshoot hardware issues • Understand and interpret security directives and protocols • Functional knowledge of database management • Preparing work completion status reports • Off hours support • Analytical thinking, planning • Strong verbal and personal communication skills. • Accuracy and attention to details. • Organization and prioritization skills. • Problem analysis, use of judgment and ability to solve problems efficiently. • Decision making, critical thinking, organizing and planning. • Tolerant and flexible to different situations. • Self motivated • Customer service mindedness • Adaptability/ability to work under pressure
Required Skills and/or Experience:
• DoD 8570.1-m IAT II certification - Security CE, CySA , SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, CCNA Security • Top Secret Security Clearance • US citizen • Minimum Experience: 7 years professional experience in systems administration.
Degree Requirements:
Master's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
