Job specification

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing gynecological surgeries and treatments in a medical-surgical setting. Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress. Administer medications, manage pain relief, and provide pre-and post-operative care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including gynecologists and surgical staff, to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on post-operative care, treatment plans, and managing gynecological conditions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and standards. Monitor and address potential complications, ensuring a safe recovery process. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to best practices in gynecological nursing care.

Candidate requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical-surgical or gynecological nursing. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to respond effectively in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and families. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and compliance with clinical documentation standards.
