Encova Insurance will have a need for an Intern, Systems Analyst. This is a full-time summer internship for summer 2025 and will require someone who can work at least 40 hours per week. Start and end dates will be based on availability and business need. You will have the option to work a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will reside near our corporate office in Columbus, Ohio but we are also open to candidates who reside near our office in Charleston, WV. Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours with an accredited college or university.
Pay=$22.00 per hour

JOB OBJECTIVE: The System Analyst Intern will assist full time associates analyze, design, and introduce solutions founded on leading edge technologies to deliver and enhance the current core applications and supporting systems. They will work within an integrated agile team to bridge the gap between customers, third parties, and other technology teams. The intern will assist with several projects and help document integration for Data Governance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Convert data mappings to spreadsheets for data government Work within cross-functional groups to support all aspects of the SDLC: requirements, estimates, build, testing, deployment, and transition. Illustrate key concepts through process descriptions, workflows, and use cases. Work alongside developers to create system specifications. Seek out new ideas to improve applications and infrastructure. Work with business and QA to prepare test plans and evaluate test results for application implementations. Modify or update an integration solution document based on the business and technical requirements, workflow, data flows, data mappings and architectural design. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Perform manual or automated application testing prior to quality assurance testing. Seek and promote opportunities for continuous improvement. Other tasks as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours with an accredited college or university. Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree. Preference may be given to Computer Science or related major. Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work independently and on a team. Excellent analysis, communication and problem solving skills. Agile or iterative software development methodology is preferred Knowledge in formal requirements gathering is preferred This position has been evaluated in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
