Database Administrator
you will: Apply database administration skills to support USMC wargamming capabilities. Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals. Worked as a technology professional handling support for data management, which involves the planning, development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data. Establish, measure and report on system application database systems: technical, performance and security baselines. Receive a robust benefits package that includesEmployee Stock Ownership Plan.
A week in the life of a
Database Administrator: Comply with the respective DoD/Intelligence Community data governance policy and regulation. Assist in the formulation of data management standard operating procedures. Support database sustainment on all system application database systems. Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures. Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements. Install and configure database management systems and software. Perform backup and recovery of databases to ensure data integrity. Implement data mining and data warehousing applications. Design, create, deploy, and maintain a comprehensive database service dynamic growth and horizontal expansion plan covering system application database systems. Integrate system application database systems into Data Center and Enterprise ITSM, management, monitoring and cybersecurity tools, systems and application suites. Monitor and assess data center, on-premises and external cloud provider, customer and vendor: release schedules, alerts and notifications; create and maintain a forward schedule of change integrated with the data center IMS and SC covering the induction, upgrade, patching and hotfix application of/to WGC application database systems.
Job Requirements
7 + years of experience in database administration field IAT Level II Certification (i.e. Security+ CE, CCNA/CISSP) Certificationin Computing Environment (i.e., Oracle certifications, SQL certifications) Clearance: Active TS/SSBI with SCI eligibility Must be proficient in current DoD policies and strategy related to IT systems. Must have required experience in data architecture supporting major enterprise projects. Possess ability to create, maintain, execute, and report on technical service sustainment plans covering the assessment, design, engineering, integration, automation, deployment, upgrade, patching, configuration, monitoring, auditing and troubleshooting of system application database systems.
