Accounting Manager Job at Robert Half in New York

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the tech industry, located in New York. Your primary function will be to manage financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting policies, and collaborate with various teams to enhance processes, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the month-end close process to ensure prompt and precise financial reporting
• Managing ASC 842 lease accounting and the fixed asset register
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and accurate application of accounting policies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and support scalability
• Providing detailed schedules and analysis for auditors, inclusive of Big 4 audit preparation
• Using tools like Microsoft Dynamics and Excel to manage and streamline reporting processes
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager
• Proficiency in ASC 842, Fixed Assets, and GAAP Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations software
• Proven track record in managing Month End Close procedures
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Previous experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm is highly desirable
