Experienced Accounting Supervisor wanted for a non-profit multi-service agency in San Francisco! The Accounting Supervisor will responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization's housing and asset management activities, ensuring all schedules and reports accurately reflect the financial activity for each property ownership entity. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Description:
  • Prepare and/or review and analyze monthly financial statements.
  • Review budgets and bank reconciliations.
  • Responsible for ensuring monthly mortgage, land lease, or other recurring monthly payments are processed timely.
  • Prepare applicable property, sales & use tax form(s) as required.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries - standard, recurring, reversing, adjusting, reclassifications, prepaid rent, accruals, etc.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Review accounts receivable including billing adjustments, etc.
  • Review and approve accounts payable transactions initiated by the property management company in conjunction with the project manager.
  • Oversee Escrow deposits and withdrawals.
  • Assist accounts payable with construction draws.
  • Track property development projects against budgets.
  • Monitors cash balances for all property bank accounts on a regular basis.

  • Skills in exchanging opinions, and information with others to formulate policies and programs

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
  • 3 years of accounting experience of increasing responsibility including budget management, property accounting, and grant reporting
  • 3 or more years in a real estate related industry
  • Property accounting experience in residential, especially Affordable (HUD/RD/LIHTC), a plus
  • Yardi experience preferred
