Manager, Accounting

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

The Manager, Accounting is responsible for implementing policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls through leadership of assigned area. In addition, this position will have the potential to lead a team of accounting professionals.

Delivery of accurate, timely and relevant financial information to internal and external customers. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles in assigned areas of responsibility.

Develop and execute control procedures related to preparation and review of accounting transactions, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations of assigned areas.

Communicate with management concerning, but not limited to, departmental activities, workflows, and accountable for team results.

Lead execution of operational goals, including process efficiencies, internal and external business partner relationships, and team development.

Maintain proficient knowledge of accounting theories and principles; apply knowledge to work assignments and projects.

Intense focus on detail and accuracy of work.

Ability to maintain the highest level confidentiality.

Strong PC skills including proficiency with the primary Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel.

Experience with ERP systems, like PeopleSoft, JDE, Oracle, SAP etc.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously to drive solutions that meet or surpass business expectations and deliver project milestones on-time and within budget.

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Ability to understand and follow instructions and work independently to solve for complex problems

Ability to multitask and prioritize work accordingly.

CPA preferred

Exceptional problem resolution and process improvement skills.

Superior analytical, organizational, decision-making and project management skills.
