About the Role:

Summary

As part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), this position is a strategic partner that collaborates with business owners to deliver value for customers and employees by facilitating consistent delivery of projects. Builds and continuously develops relationships with bank users, all levels of management, and vendors to increase the operational capability of the EPMO to deliver our offered services. This position is considered a representative of the EPMO to all levels of bank groups and management, and professionalism and diplomacy to gain trust is critical to the success of the position. The Business Analyst I will perform in a highly visible bank-facing role by performing detailed business requirement, data, and workflow analysis for small to medium projects. Gather business requirements and write functional requirements and user stories to guide system development and configuration. Create user acceptance testing plans and lead user acceptance testing. Perform process design/redesign and process improvement. Participate in the creation of user procedures, process flow, and training. Adhere to the processes and best practices as set forth by the EPMO.

This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. The entry rate for this position is $56,762.89 / per year (calculated for Kalispell, MT).

All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Description

  • Perform process design/redesign, process improvement, workflow analysis, and data analysis. Working with subject matter experts and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, analyze processes, provide industry best-practices, and make recommendations for management/stakeholders to consider. Facilitate workshops, presentations, and training sessions to all levels of the organization to develop awareness across the entire organization for business improvement and standardization efforts. As assigned, lead large, enterprise scale process improvement, process management, and standardization efforts independent of project management.
  • Gather business requirements and conduct detailed analysis on business requirements. Facilitate the elicitation of business requirements with project stakeholders at all levels. Elicitation includes utilizing a wide variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, and workflow analysis. Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of elicited requirements. Write functional requirements and user stories based on business requirements to guide system development and configuration.
  • Create user acceptance testing plans and lead user acceptance testing. Participate in the creation of user procedures, process flow, and training.
  • Responsible for business case analysis for new projects and strategic programs to enable the project review committee to make data-backed decisions regarding project approval and prioritization in relation to strategic plans. Analyze resource needs and availability for proposed projects. Discover, analyze, and scope inter-related initiatives to help the project managers, sponsors, and senior-level stakeholders make informed decisions. Conduct post-mortem (look back) analysis on projects to determine if ROI and stated objectives were reached. This work includes the examination, exploration, and evaluation of organizational, corporate, and bank level strategic objectives
  • Governance: Adhere to and support the use of governance, security and risk management practices.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Additional Requirements

Travel

Up to 10% travel required: (e.g. 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
