Position: Technical Accounting Manager (Hybrid)

We’re seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to lead key initiatives in technical accounting, compliance, and financial reporting. This hybrid role, located in the Troy area, requires two days in the office and offers a unique opportunity to manage global processes, interpret complex accounting standards, and support cross-functional teams in achieving financial clarity and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Accounting Leadership:

• Serve as the organization’s expert on U.S. GAAP and IFRS, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and industry reporting requirements.
• Develop strategies for adopting new or changing standards and deliver training to global team members.
• Provide guidance on significant transactions to ensure accurate application of accounting standards.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP, working with global stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Lead the quarterly accounting review (QAR) and sub-certification process.
• Maintain and update the Global Accounting Policy Manual.

Audit Management & Governance:

• Lead year-end audit processes, coordinating and preparing audit requests for external auditors.
• Manage Governance Committee processes and meetings to ensure compliance with the company’s Delegation of Authority policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Support senior management with ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
• Collaborate with business unit locations to address accounting matters and provide financial guidance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting.
• Expertise in U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and technical accounting research.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively across cultures within a global footprint.
