Position Summary
**WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROM ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF WORK STUDY AWARD**
TheUNM Information Security & Privacy Office (ISPO) is responsible for thedevelopment and maintenance of the University's Information Security Program,and providing institution-wide, platform independent professional services.Cybersecurity Incident Response and CybersecurityAssessment services guide the University in handling information securityrisk.The ISPO's services enable theinstitution to respond to unauthorized disclosure of institutional information,and to identify areas where information assets are not adequately safeguardedin both enterprise and departmental systems and networks.
ACybersecurity Assistant must have a working knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacyprinciples and best practices.Thisposition requires a combination of technical, analytical, and customer serviceskills with the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision in afast-paced environment.
Duties will include:
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

- Maintain knowledge of current technological development/trends in area of expertise
- Participate in projects to enhance information security and/or data privacy for UNM computing environments
- Respond to customer service requests maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

- Ability to simultaneously coordinate and complete multiple projects
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise
