NBCUniversal Local is NBCUniversal’s local media division that delivers English and Spanish-speakers and bilingual audiences in 31 U.S. markets and Puerto Rico, the very best in local sports, news, weather, consumer and investigative reporting, and lifestyle entertainment across any platform and screen. Job Description

As part of the NBC Sports Bay Area & California marketing team, you will play a crucial role in project management, leveraging consumer insights, and maintaining brand partnerships and campaigns.

You'll work closely with our six main professional sports team partnerships in the Bay Area and Northern California, including the San Francisco Giants, Athletics, San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Sharks, Golden State Warriors, and Sacramento Kings.

Your sound analytical and project management skills will be essential as you navigate daily responsibilities, from coordinating promotional activities to analyzing audience insights. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment where your organizational skills and problem-solving abilities will help drive our marketing efforts forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Partnerships & Marketing Manager in developing multi-platform marketing campaigns and overseeing team partnerships to support NBC Sports Bay Area & California
  • Collaborate on the development, planning, and execution of community outreach events in conjunction with NBC Sports Bay Area & California, and associated partners and sponsors
  • Coordinate promotional and sponsorship implementation in programming, digital and social media, and live events
  • Assist in the development and design of marketing materials, including digital and social media content, contests, press releases, presentations, brochures, billboards, e-marketing, and more
  • Project manage weekly tasks that directly impact various departments across the organization
  • Manage all promotional inventory, including giveaways, premium items, and event equipment
  • Perform market analysis and research social media trends, including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and Bluesky platforms
  • Analyze audience insights to maximize brand exposure and consumer acquisition/retention
  • Measure the performance of cross-platform marketing campaigns and report on marketing KPIs, conversion rates, social media engagement, and sales executions to ensure campaign optimizations
Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three (3+) years' experience in marketing and/or promotions related to sports or media, or familiarity with building brand campaigns and consumer insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, particularly PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Slack, Asana and Trello

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively relay information to internal and external departments/partners
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
  • Solid work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Proven interpersonal skills with an aptitude for marketing
  • Solid knowledge of Bay Area and Sacramento sports teams and trending media entertainment content
  • Prior experience in advertising or project management is a plus

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the San Francisco office a minimum of three days per week.
