Job Title: Aerospace Procurement/Buyer

Client: LTTS/Collins Aerospace

Location: Windsor Locks, Connecticut

This role will work with the LTTS team, as well as our major aerospace customer, for procurement coordination activities with suppliers to place Purchas Orders (POs) with qualified suppliers, purchase parts, and track shipments. Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures for a global publicly traded company.

This is considered a remote/hybrid working position, meaning this role will be working from our office site in Windsor, CT, or the client site in Windsor Locks, CT, or Remotely depending on the client needs.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Work with the customer to identify qualified suppliers for key aerospace electrical components
• Review supplier quotations and evaluate for cost, turnaround time, and quality
• Follow standard work to place POs with suppliers
• Order parts from suppliers on behalf of the customer, addressing the priority needs for the customer
• Generate and maintain a tracker to track commitment dates, supplier progress, action items, and shipments
• Report out progress and status to the customer on a regular basis
• Assist in generating status reports and sitting in on status meetings to update key LTTS and customer stakeholders
• Understand supplier delivery risks and be empowered to generate mitigation plans
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to current supply chain customer processes, tools, trainings, etc.
• Adhere to import, export, and procurement regulations.
• May require some travel at times to client or supplier site
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Part Prints, Bills of Material, Manufacturing Routings, and Job Order forms.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer proficiency with desired experience using Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt your work schedule to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ year(s) of relevant experience
• Strong background in the aerospace industry
• Order book management, Supplier relationship management, real-time problem resolution
• Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Qualifications:
• An understanding of DPAS & DFARS requirements
• Knowledge and experience using consumption-based and forecast-based planning methods.
• Previous procurement and sourcing experience in an ISO-9001 or equivalent QMS "Quality Management System"
• Exposure to supplier development and delivery assurance
• An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
• Knowledge of supply chain management
• Experience with project and/or program management
• Experience with engineering and quality processes
• Exposure to various manufacturing processes
• An ability to build positive intercompany relationships
• Outstanding communication and reporting skills
