BayFirst is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing Compliance team. The HMDA Analyst will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing HMDA and CRA data for accuracy to ensure the bank is in compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and the Community Reinvestment Act. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

BayFirst is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing Compliance team. The HMDA Analyst will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing HMDA and CRA data for accuracy to ensure the bank is in compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and the Community Reinvestment Act. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Duties:
- Identifies HMDA reportable consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans, including their designated census tracts and demographics.
- Ensures appropriate record entries are made on the HMDA loan/application register (LAR) within thirty calendar days after the end of the calendar quarter.
- Conducts and leads data reviews and certifies the accuracy of HMDA/CRA data Maintain an internal compliance audit log of all findings reported through various audits and testing.
- Assists the Chief Compliance Officer in providing required data reports and any other requests, as necessary.
- Verifies loan information through imaged documents or loan origination systems.
- Maintains and develops reports within the HMDA/CRA data software.
- Supports the Compliance Department with other compliance related projects, as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree required or related experience
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of Bank Regulatory Compliance experience required.
- Direct HMDA experience strongly preferred
- Strong competency in Excel.
- Knowledge of bank operations, consumer and mortgage lending operations and services is a plus
- Experience with Encompass and/or LoansPQ preferred.
- Strict attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines required.
