Position Summary

A leading global supply chain management company of agriculture commodities for feed and fiber is seeking a self-motivated individual for a position in our Cotton Trading team located in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. This role will report to the Senior Traders.

Position Responsibilities
  • Data Collection & Management: Compile and maintain fundamental data taken from various sources, including public and proprietary data sets, market reports, internal research, and industry participants.
  • Economic Forecasting: Develop models to forecast economic trends and generate future expectations for supply, demand, and trade.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate effectively with researchers, traders, and other stakeholders to compile information while taking ownership of the process.
  • Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports, market briefs, and presentations for internal teams highlighting key findings and changes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, ad hoc requests, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well both independently and with team members of all levels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams across many geographies and time zones.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in economic research, trade statistics, financial analysis, or related role; commodity-related experience is a plus.
