This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, starting at $13.96 per hour, with an increase to $15.85 per hour upon completion of training. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Join the Arena Operations team at Akins Ford Arena are responsible for performing routine duties associated with the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department in the Arena.
What You'll Do:
- Bring Events to Life: Work with an energetic team to convert the arena for a wide variety of events, including hockey, concerts, basketball, and unique experiences like ice and dirt events!
- Prepare the Arena for Show Time: Assist in setting up and organizing the space, ensuring every event is ready to impress.
- Move and Set Up Equipment: From tables and stages to barricades and exhibition materials, you'll handle, lift, and arrange the essential elements that make each event unforgettable.
- Operate Machinery: Use equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks to help with conversions and setup - no two days are the same!
- Maintain Our Space: Keep equipment storage areas and hallways tidy and organized, presenting a professional image to everyone who visits.
- Work with Safety in Mind: Prioritize safety as you take on new tasks and challenges, supporting our team and our guests.
- Be a Hospitality Champion: Partner with the entire Akins Ford Arena team to make every guest feel welcome and appreciated.
- Team Players with a Positive Attitude: You're ready to roll up your sleeves and work together to get the job done.
- Reliable and Flexible Schedules: Events happen at all hours, and you'll enjoy a schedule that includes late nights, early mornings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Can lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
