Summary: The Loan Compliance Analyst will provide guidance on applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This position will require participation in process implementation and provide support to the Consumer Lending department. Associate should have a working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and will ensure regulatory changes are incorporated into daily operations. Thorough review of Compliance matters will identify trends and errors and oversee remedial training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Responsible for collecting and validating HMDA reporting information in the origination system
- Conducts accuracy validation and annual submission of the HMDA LAR
- Responsible for pre-funding and post-closing quality control reviews of originated and non-originated loans
- Performs review and updates from results of the monthly New/Existing Customer CIP Exception report
- Identifies trends and errors through quality review and will implement remedial training to prevent future occurrences
- Investigate and resolve red flags on loan files for compliant submission
- Partnership with the Production and Servicing teams to provide guidance on all compliance matters
- Supports strategic initiatives as the subject matter expert during project development stages
- Monitors for changes within local, state, federal regulations and assists with the implementation of new expectations
- Facilitates internal and external audits and assists with corrective action stemming from exam findings
- Accountable for updates and revisions of all Consumer Lending reports, procedures, and forms
- Assists the Secondary Market Department with review of loan purchases as needed.
- Responsible for updating Indexes and Disclosures on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.

- Thorough understanding of consumer lending products and services.
- Ability to explain complicated loan policies and terms in a clear and understandable way.
- Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and taxonomies related to Mortgage Originations including Regulation Z, ECOA, CRA, HMDA, Agency Requirements i.e. FHA/VA
- Ability to both work collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organization
- Advanced analytical skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program
