The Creative Lead will oversee our Employee Experience Maker Team-a group of creators dedicated to crafting every creative touchpoint along the employee journey. Their mission: to bring the Sheetz brand to life in ways that are authentic, impactful, and deeply meaningful for our employees.
This position offers a base salary range of $76,512 - $127,520 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus based on company performance.

OVERVIEW
Provide leadership and strategic direction for all visual content, ensuring the highest standards of creative excellence and brand consistency. Drives the creative vision, developing innovative concepts, and executing multi-channel campaigns that differentiate the brand in the marketplace. Collaborate with senior leadership to align creative strategies with business objectives, leading a high-performing team to deliver impactful and relevant art direction across digital, print, social, video, and events. Through fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensure seamless workflow, exceptional quality, and strategic alignment in all creative endeavors, while actively contributing to the evolution of the brand. Champion the development and refinement of design standards, providing strategic art direction for both internal teams and external vendors, and mentoring creative talent to build a world-class creative department.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Partner with department manager and senior leadership to guide Sheetz brand creative strategy, with an emphasis on elevating the brand's aesthetic; develop and present high-level creative strategies and concepts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with brand and marketing goal; and lead the development and refinement of design standards, infusing the brand's creative strategy into every aspect of visual representation; conceive and execute design strategies for promotional and brand messages that are strategically impactful and exhibit a high level of craft.
- Champion the brand's creative expression across all marketing touchpoints; lead the development of innovative and compelling creative concepts that differentiate our brand in the marketplace; actively contribute to the formulation and evolution of the brand identity standards and creative campaign strategies, reinforcing the brand's position in the market; provide visionary leadership to the creative team, overseeing the development and execution of all visual content, including digital, print, and multimedia campaigns.
- Deliver innovative and relevant art direction for multi-channel campaigns for content including print, web, social, video and events; lead brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate breakthrough ideas and concepts.
- Provide strategic art direction for external vendors, ensuring their work is in harmony with the brand's creative vision and media strategy.
- Lead team in executing the creative strategy, assigning work that aligns with strategic brand and marketing objectives, implementing best practices and continuous improvements to foster a culture of excellence and innovation, and ensuring consistency and quality across all media channels.
- Oversee the creation of mood boards, storyboards, and prototypes to effectively communicate creative concepts; coordinate with project managers, producers, and other team members to ensure seamless workflow and production.
- Maintain and enhance the collaborative processes within the brand team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows that facilitate high-quality creative outputs and strategic alignment; build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing creative team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence; provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education
• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field required
Experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a graphic design role at a company or agency required.
• Minimum 3 years leading teams in graphic design projects required.
• In-depth knowledge of the graphic design space and how to effectively communicate using these mediums required.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required.
