SUMMARY:

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Sourcing Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Barletta's procurement processes. In this role, you will be responsible for not only securing the most efficient and cost-effective materials, components, and services for the production of Barletta's high-quality pontoon boats, but also for driving supplier strategy, optimizing supply chain performance, and aligning procurement initiatives with broader business goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier selection processes, streamline supply chain efficiencies, and contribute to the company's long-term competitive advantage.

Individuals in this role are expected to have a strategic mindset, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is not a remote eligible role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Strategic Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Partner with production planning, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure optimal coordination of materials and components in support of production schedules.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels in line with market demand and production plans, aiming to reduce costs while maintaining reliability.
• Risk Management and Strategic Contingency Planning:
  • Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and logistical challenges.
  • Develop and implement strategic contingency plans to safeguard supply chain continuity and minimize operational disruption.
• Strategic Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
  • Lead efforts to research, identify, and assess potential suppliers that align with the company's long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on capabilities, quality standards, performance history, innovation potential, and strategic fit with Barletta's objectives.
• Negotiation and Strategic Contract Management:
  • Strategically negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements, balancing short-term needs with long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and strategic business needs.
• Cost Optimization and Value Creation:
  • Drive proactive initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on product quality or timelines.
  • Conduct in-depth cost analysis, benchmarking, and supplier performance evaluations to ensure that Barletta remains competitive in the market while maximizing value creation.
• Supplier Relationship Development:
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and strategic partnerships that align with Barletta's growth objectives.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and work collaboratively to resolve issues, enhance supplier innovation, and continuously improve procurement processes.
• Market Intelligence and Strategic Research:
  • Leverage market research and data-driven insights to stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers and innovative solutions that support Barletta's future strategic initiatives.
• Safety:
  • Uphold Barletta's commitment to safety by adhering to the highest standards of workplace safety, identifying potential risks, and proactively mitigating hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a track record of driving value through strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a strategic approach to supplier partnerships.
• Analytical expertise with a focus on cost analysis, benchmarking, and market research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
• Proficient in procurement software and data analytics tools to support strategic decision-making.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance, and standards.
