Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team at Stanadyne. This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and customer requirements through rigorous testing, process improvements, and collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and committed to driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and processes to ensure product compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Perform statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor production quality.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to ISO/TS standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and customers during audits and inspections.
  • Use Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and resolve process inefficiencies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee quality testing procedures, including dimensional inspections, material testing, and functional tests.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, and work instructions.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns and implement solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members on quality tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
    • Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys).
    • Proficiency in quality software and tools, such as Minitab or other SPC tools.
    • Excellent communication and project management skills.
