MEP Estimator

The MEP Estimator will work closely with the Director of Estimating and Preconstruction department on competitive bids, design-builds, competitive GMPs, and conceptual estimates. The MEP estimator's primary focus will be trades involving fire suppression, plumbing, and mechanical systems, but experience with electrical, and low voltage systems is also preferrred.

• • • Must have strong communication skills
    • Must have strong organizational and math skills
    • Must have strong capabilities in reading and understanding construction documents.
    • Must understand the processes and sequencing of construction and be able to provide constructability input into the estimating and bidding process.
  
  

• Required Experience

• • • A minimum of three (3) years of MEP construction experience is required.
    • Experience should be with a general contractor or subcontractor.
    • MEP/ Estimating experience focuses on Mechanical systems is preferred.
    • Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
    • Advances knowledge of Excel/Word
  
  

• Preferred Experience

• • Experience using construction software such as Building Connected, On-Screen Takeoff, Blue Beam and Procore. Experience in the Metro Washington DC Area.
