Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to lead the design efforts for pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces, and welded structures. The individual in this position will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and analysis of complex industrial equipment, with a focus on pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces, and welded structures, ensuring adherence to industry codes and standards.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create intricate 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Conduct in-depth engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate and optimize design concepts, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturing, and quality control, to oversee and ensure the successful execution of design projects.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Lead design reviews, offering strategic insights and innovative solutions to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of industrial equipment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and regulations, integrating them into the design process.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, showcasing expertise in large industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD software, particularly SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • In-depth knowledge and application of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and AWS, related to pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces, and welded structures.
  • Extensive experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other engineering analysis tools.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.
