Job title: Business Development Manager  

Business Development Managers are responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth. At B&S, the Business Development Manager operates with significant autonomy and is responsible for developing strategies to expand our market presence and achieve our business goals. Being highly organized, communicative, and strategic are critical traits to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities and results to internal stakeholders.
  • Work in partnership with the Estimating staff to meet customer needs and optimize our win rate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful business development in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to use specialized software for CRM and project management, including MS Office, Hubspot, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or a related role in the construction field.
