The Data Center Commissioning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process for the Electrical Scope of work for our data center construction projects.
DUTIES & SCOPE
- Lead and manage commissioning activities for our data center projects from installation to final sign-off.
- Manage and implement , and checklists tailored to project needs.
- Coordinate with design engineers, general contractors, project managers, and superintendents to ensure that systems are installed and commissioned to function as intended.
- Coordinate with the commissioning team, the Supt and the Installers to ensure successful completion of the process
- Manage the commissioning information and input of the commissioning data into the CX system.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices throughout the commissioning process.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise during the commissioning process and implement effective solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to data center commissioning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in commissioning management, particularly in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Knowledge of commissioning standards, processes, and tools (e.g. NETA, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
- Understanding and analysis of NETA test results on various types of Data center equipment to verify results are within parameters set forth by NETA and/or Client Spec.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers.
- Strong understanding of the commissioning process
- Be able to communicate the meaning of Red, Yellow, Green Tagging
- Be able to communicate/explain the Levels of Commissioning; Levels 2,3,4,5
- Well-organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $115,000 and $160,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for vehicle allowance plan, bonus and benefits.
