Light & Wonder develops card shufflers for the casino industry under the Shuffle Master brand. Our products can be viewed at most casinos throughout the world. These are high quality, industrial-grade machines that ensure a fair and secure game for players and the casino. With every shuffle, card recognition verifies that the deck contains every card that it should, and no extra cards have been added. The person in this position is responsible for developing, designing, testing, coding, and integrating software products and provides support to and works alongside other engineers to create innovative products that best prepare the company to meet future business goals. We develop new products along with upgrading features and performance of existing products. The solutions are implemented with UML state-charts and C/C++ along with Linux based touchscreen user interfaces. Besides the standard debugging tools, we use high speed cameras to record the process and isolate problems encountered in handling cards. Our programmers work closely with mechanical engineers to innovate methods and algorithms that produce a reliable, quick, and random shuffle. Responsibilities Utilizes technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects.
Research innovative technologies and incorporate them into new systems and products.
Takes initiative in projects and collaborating with others.
Tests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs software applications.
Qualifications
Requirements 5 or more years of professional experience in a software development team
5 or more years of experience with C or C++
5 or more years of experience with build automation, continuous integration, unit test, change management and configuration management.
Five or more years of experience with software methodologies.
Experience with Linux and Eclipse
Experience with hierarchal state machine programming
Experience with Python
Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
Knowledge of serial and network communications
Knowledge of secure communications.
Knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Ability to read a schematic, or experience with machine control.
Experience developing iOS apps
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Strong working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
Strong multi-tasking skills
Enjoy working in a creative environment.
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to obtain and hold Gaming Registrations/Licenses
Some travel may be required.
Education Bachelor's degree required, preferably BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS or equivalent experience.
