An employer in the Dayton, OH area is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity. This person will be a part of a diverse and skilled technical team, to write and test software in high level languages, and to develop and test signal processing algorithms from concept to implementation. They will be involved with the creation of new code, maintaining current code as well as assisting in some design work with the team. They will be developing within C++ to enhance features on current autonomy applications. They will be a part of the full process from development to testing in a simulated environment to taking part in the flight test to then integrating into the hardware.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering etc or 6 years in lieu of. 2-5 years of software engineering experience (C++) C++ experience, versions 17 or higher Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Masters Degree
OMS experience
Developing software to communicate and exchange information (e.g. commands, status, data) with hardware devices, sensors, and/or systems
DeVops experience- CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
Autonomy research
Air Force background
UAV simulation experience
Security Clearance
