Role: Network Engineer
Monitors, maintains, supports, and optimizes all networked software and associated operating systems and ensures their security and integrity. Plans layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and system that will provide capability for proposed project or work load, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted space. Analyzes, recommends, and evaluates new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicability. Ensure the integrity and security of the enterprise data network. Coordinates system and server development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing. Performs hardware management, server maintenance, management and consolidation of numerous network servers. Participates in all phases of assigned IT engineering and credit union projects. Oversees all system transitions from test into production. Designs, configures, monitors and optimizes LAN/WAN, servers and printers for optimal performance, maximum availability, minimal maintenance, and overall best value for the credit union. Designs, configures, maintains and manages network security features for the Intranet and LAN/WAN, and other credit union servers and systems. Actively participates in annual disaster recovery testing. Performs customization and system administration for network management, task/project management, work group integration, documentation, and educational software packages on LAN/WAN. Performs integration of voice, data and video applications on the LAN/WAN. Creates and maintains good technical documentation. Provides on-call support on a rotating schedule.
Salary Range $80,000-$130,000 a year
