POSITION SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, the Network Administrator performs network administration & planning for all aspects of IT-network infrastructure - including network equipment, servers, workstations, and software applications. Key duties include managing networks, firewalls, routers, switches, and servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The position involves maintaining, operating, and supporting MCU's corporate systems such as Jack Henry products, Microsoft OS PCs, HP servers, and Cisco and Arista firewalls, routers, and switches. Additionally, will conduct projects, attend internal and external meetings, and collaborate closely with department supervisors to promote and implement systems and applications that enhance user experience and service quality for our members.

This position works on-site at our Corporate Office in Redwood City, CA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, designs, implements, controls, and monitors WAN and LAN systems, including managing network security; SD-WAN, Network Access Control and Network Encryption. Installs new hardware, systems, and software for networks. Configures, maintains, and implements network routers, switches, firewalls, and applications according to credit union policies. Performs troubleshooting analysis of firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and associated systems. Supports administration of servers, server clusters, system backups and restore protocols. Documents network problems and resolutions for future reference. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning. Develops and maintains network documentation and diagrams. Assists in developing and installing hardware/software solutions for network and remote connectivity. Designs, supports, maintains, and evaluates networking and telecommunication systems (VoIP), Cisco Webex. Researches and recommends network and server hardware and software; maintains an accurate inventory of all hardware and software. Prepares and maintains operating procedures and associated documentation. Provides technical and software application support to credit union and IS staff via the Help Desk and ticket system; resolves problems for the organization. Installs, supports, and maintains both physical and virtual network servers and appliances; troubleshoots the SAN. Plans and executes off-hours maintenance for system updates/upgrades. Maintains a working knowledge of trends in applicable areas of responsibility; pursues additional technical certifications as required. Administers users, security groups, service accounts, and computers in Active Directory, Office 365, Entra, Intune and Exchange Online. Generation and replacement of SSL Certificates Ensures patching is performed according to Information Service Policies. Serves as system administrator for specific applications, including Cash Flow Management (CFM), Synergy Back Office Functions, and Image Center (all Jack Henry Products). Recommends methods and practices to minimize costs, optimize performance, and maintain quality. Provides technical and troubleshooting support to credit union staff and may assist in answering the call queue. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Ensures compliance with applicable policies and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and laws enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Provides service that aligns with the Credit Union's mission of delivering relevant products, services, and education to help members, employees, and communities achieve their financial goals. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and training, in CS, Information Technology/Engineering or related Industry Certifications that support your knowledge and experience 6+ years of relevant experience with maintaining and implementing network routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and applications such as but not limited to, Cisco, Arista, VMware, Dell, and HP 6+ years of experience with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Cloud, Intranet\Internet, Office365, Azure, e-mail systems, telecommunications and data communications, Windows OS, Active Directory, MS SQL, planning, designing, and maintaining data networks and services, and providing technical support to users. 6+ years of experience supporting a Windows network in a multi-branch environment. Team player and the ability to self-start and prioritize tasks/projects/workload. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Effective oral and written communication skills Periodic availability for on call duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for system failure alerts, on a rotating basis with other team members; occasional emergency work 24/7 Strong cultural competency and a preference for working in an organization that values diversity, inclusion, teamwork, and collaboration.
