Coordinates exam schedules and room assignments for accommodated testing. Mitigates student testing concerns in the absence of the Testing Leadership Team. Assists students, faculty and staff in trouble shooting issues that arise with the testing management system. Responds to testing inquiries and including answering phone calls, emails, an in-person questions regarding testing services. Prepares exam materials according to student accommodations and instructor directions. Creates alternative exam formats for students as needed per accommodations. Ensures receipt of exam materials to faculty members. Scans and prepares exams to exit the DRC and returns to instructors in a timely manner. Assists the Testing Leadership Team with interviewing, hiring, training and development of testing student assistants. Serves as an accommodated testing resource for students, faculty, staff, and service agencies/provider. Maintains a current knowledge base of federal and state laws, regulations and rules governing the provision of services for persons with documented disabilities and their application within a post-secondary educational setting. Pursues self-directed learning on national trends and best practices in accessibility and accommodated testing. Serves on departmental committees, task force. Other duties as assigned. Expected Salary: $44,000 Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications: EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of expertise (such as education, business, or psychology) with at least two or more years of related and practical experience. EXPERIENCE: Experience working with students with physical, sensory, psychological, or learning disabilities KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in use of a Windows-based computer and Microsoft Office. SKILLS: Outstanding time management and organizational skills. Strong student support services skills. Special Instructions to Applicants: *These are TWO-YEAR Time Limited positions. The DRC seeks to hire three employees. Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7AM-4PM, 9AM-6PM, or 1:30PM-10:30PM (depending on the shift you are assigned) The testing coordinator will be expected to work 8:00AM-5:00PM during days that there will not be any night exams or exams after 5PM.
