Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Overview The UHS Pediatrics Binghamton Medical Center is looking to add a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to our Pediatric group practice.
Full-time, exempt position and seeking an experienced Pediatric NP or a new graduate with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training.
The NP will provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility, under direction of physician. Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Record physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program.
Must be board certified and licensed in the state of New York.

Salary: $115,300 - $135,600 Annually

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
Preferred:
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certification
Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department
Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment
Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS
Preferred:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number
Work Environment
All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Travel to other UHS Physician Practice locations may be necessary.
PPE is used as required by Infection Control policies.
