Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant- Binghamton Internal Medicine Medical Center / Overview We are seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our UHS Primary Care- Binghamton location. This is a busy, out-patient practice in a well-established office. Position is 100% outpatient. Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Great opportunity to join a team of 2 APPs and 2 Physicians.

Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.

Salary Range: $124,000- $145,800 Annually

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree

Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program

Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting

Preferred:

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certification

Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department

Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment

Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS

Preferred:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number

Work Environment

All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Travel to other UHS Physician Practice locations may be necessary.

PPE is used as required by Infection Control policies.
