Position: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: Contract to hire
Remote: HYBRID (3 days in office and 2 days at home)
Remote details and time zone(s): Eastern Standard Time
Intended length of Assignment: 5 months
Dynamics of the team and where this candidate will fit into the overall environment:
This BSA will be part of a Team of BSAs and software engineers. This BSA initially works independently meeting with stakeholders and gathering requirements. Eventually this BSA will work as part of an Agile Crew collaborating with a Product Owner, other Stakeholders, and users. The BSA will rely on the Scrum Master for help, support and Agile coaching. My Team is diverse and dispersed. We work well together and collabo*** on many things.
Candidate Technical and skills profile:
Key responsibilities will be working with Product Owners and key stakeholders to enhance fraud detection functionality by the creation of users stories. Development, testing and implementation of this functionality will use these stories and follow Agile methodology. Data mapping exercises are important parts of these users stories and help the develop write their code and testers complete and execute their test scripts.
Must have technical skills/experience: •Agile experience complete with user story creation •Data mapping experience for adding new tables/fields to systems or for passing data from one system to another •Familiarity with the Actimize fraud detection platform •Ability to support stakeholder User Acceptance Testing •JIRA, Confluence and MS Office experience •Understand the development, testing, release cycle
Flex Skills:
If the candidate is very strong in Agile, user story creation and data mapping we may be able to forego the Actimize experience.
Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role: Verbal and Written skills; organized; attention to detail
Degrees or certifications for the candidate to be successful: •Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required or equivalent work experience required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. •6-8 years experience required.
Interview process: screening interview w/ Manager and the 2nd interview with another manager; possibly multiple people
