About the Job
The University of Minnesota is excited to offer a funded, one-year Lung Transplant Fellowship (July to June) combining both clinical practice and research. This position will have a dual appointment with University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) for clinical duties. The University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians are affiliated, however are separate entities.
Highlights of the program: Comprehensive clinical exposure through inpatient rotations on solid organ transplant (SOT) Individualized program structure tailored to align with the trainee's interests and background Elective rotations with other transplant service lines (immunology, pathology, transplant infectious disease) Option to participate in the Cystic Fibrosis clinic/ Interstitial Lung Disease for interested fellows. Opportunities for translational and clinical research as well as quality improvement projects. Supportive training environment with mentorship from the program director and faculty. Required Qualifications: (Must be documented on all application materials) Participation with intention of completion in an ACGME-accredited general pulmonary and critical care fellowship Board eligible or certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Possession of, or ability to obtain, a MN medical license

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range:
This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
