Description POSITION SUMMARY: Twin Cities Public Television, "TPT" is searching for an Advancement Data Analyst to join our Team! To more fully realize our strategic goal to be a data first organization, the Advancement Data Analyst will be at the forefront of interpreting complex data sets to help the Advancement Division make informed decisions and achieve its revenue objectives. The role will interface with colleagues across the organization to optimize the cross-functional work being done in areas like campaign optimization, segmentation, A/B/C testing, member and donor communications, forecasting, customer loyalty, and data quality. In addition, this role will serve as a data ambassador, synthesizing and distilling actionable insights and sharing them in a way that promotes buy-in as well as the importance of data in realizing the best possible outcomes. Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 annually (depending on qualifications) in addition tobenefits. Hybrid Work Environment: Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities Metro area and report to onsite office three days per week. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: DATA EXTRACTION AND MANIPULATION AND AUDIENCE SELECTION? (50%) Leverage SQL to directly access and manipulate data within the CRM in order to analyze large datasets, generate reports, and help business owners make informed business decisions based on relevant information. Create and own a scalable audience segmentation ecosystem that allows marketers and fundraisers to easily accelerate their audience development and microtargeting objectives. Work with internal customers to automate generation and delivery of lists and queries wherever possible. Oversee the source code creation ecosystem, allowing for appropriate attribution, tracking and segmentation of constituents. Collaborate with the Donor Communications teams in marketing and membership to build an A/B/C testing ecosystem that evaluates and chooses messages and placements based on all available data: financial, engagement/behavioral, loyalty, etc. Regularly summarize the highlights and insights gained from the ongoing A/B/C testing and share them with leadership in a digestible format. DIVISION-WIDE ANALYTICS (30%) Partner with business owners to review monthly data and provide regular performance updates through dashboards and presentations to staff and leaders. Leverage data sets to identify new areas of opportunity for business owners to explore. Provide actionable insights and analysis on departmental trends in a sharable and digestible format. Be a critical stakeholder for process improvement, providing recommendations for new analytic tools and approaches to enhance TPT's reporting and analytic capabilities. DATA HYGIENE AND MONITORING (20%) Monitor and identify current trends against established KPIs and acceptable ranges of deviation to identify potential operational issues. Establish a constellation of recurring proactive data hygiene protocols and oversee their ongoing implementation. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or a Collegiate certificate in relevant field. Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis and reporting. Beginner/Intermediate SQL skills, mainly for extracting data from systems. Ability to extract data from multiple sources and analyze using appropriate quantitative methods. Ability to interpret data, discern trends, and communicate key insights or implications of data. Excellent presentation and communication skills to share data in an easy-to-understand manner. Ability to make data engaging through use of charts and visualization tools. Intermediate to advanced fluency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products Ability to work independently and with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, etc.). Experience with Marketing Automation software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Blackbaud Luminate, Engaging Networks, etc.). PREFERRED KILLS: Bachelor's degree in relevant field. 2-3 years' reporting and analysis experience in media, audience development, or the non-profit sector. 1-3 years' experience leading or supporting the implementation of a database, data warehouse, or analytic system.
