Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant (Graduate Assistant) serves to oversee the daily function of the Center for Global Opportunities and the various activities associated with it and manages the needs of the director. This year-round Staff GA position is available only to those pursuing post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as administrative assistant to the director by managing his schedule, correspondence, and daily needs Provide support to the coordinator of outreach and evangelism Plan and coordinate events associated with the CGO (International Student Orientation, Global Opportunities Week, Summer Ministries Conference) Coordinate emphasis events such as special chapels related to the CGO Facilitate on campus recruitment by outside ministries Organize overall CGO schedule and maintain order in CGO areas Coordinate activities of BJU summer mission teams and missions internships Coordinate Missions Advance with the Student Leadership Council Engage with International Student Organization in conjunction with the director Serve as health insurance liaison for international students Manage Timothy Program and WORLD Fund Program in conjunction with the director REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent writing, editing, and generally superior communication skills Superior people skills Capable of exploring new data management systems Confident in ability to multitask Able to manage budgets and spreadsheets Positive attitude, capable of working with others and converting ideas to practical applications Self-starter; above average organizational skills Bachelor of Arts or Science degree An applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
