Position Type: Support Staff Date Posted: 8/28/2024 Location: Food Services Date Available: 09/03/2024 Closing Date: Open until filled Browning Public Schools Advertisement POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Post Date: August 28, 2024 Position: Supper Program Supervisor- 2024-2025 School Year (September May) Type: Professional/Technical, supervised by Director of Child Nutrition/Food Services or designee. Incumbent supervises staff. Duties: Provides oversight and quality control in the management and development of the school supper (lunch) program in the maintenance of and compliance with federal and state guidelines and Board policy. Also oversees the head and assistant part-time cooks and child nutrition/food service workers to ensure food quality and safety. See Supper Program Supervisor-Food Services job description. Qualifications: Required: Minimum AA degree or equivalent experience; three (3) years successful experience in food service management either in the public or private sector or, proven management, administrative, supervisory skills, and ability to plan and budget program requirements; knowledge of federal and state food service guidelines; knowledge and experience in food preparation; excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills; proficient with desktop computers; and a valid driver's license. Preferred: Bachelor's degree; previous experience in a school/large food service setting and working in Native American communities a plus, but not required.
